Updates

I will try and upload some photos at the weekend as we have been very busy.

The last couple of weeks I have been in and out of the classroom visiting nurseries, having pupil progress meetings, hospital visits with Ralph and having new children come to visit us. It has all been very busy and whilst we are trying to do everything as usual you may have noticed that reading is a little inconsistent. We will change books when they have been read or reread and I am continuing to listen to the children in their guided groups. It continues to make a difference having adult input from home as often as possible. As we start to think about the summer holidays, I will put ideas on the blog as to how to continue to support your children over the summer holidays to minimise possible regression and ensure the children are ready for Y1.

Trip Updates

We are having our cluster EYFS 2 trip on Wednesday with several other schools in the area. It looks as if the lovely weather will continue. For this reason, I think it will be a good idea for children to wear their PE kits with trainers or sturdy foot wear. I will send these home on Friday. Please put sun cream on and provide a hat. I would like children to bring a back pack or bag that they can carry once off the coach. This will have their packed lunch in provided by school if you have ordered one or from home. Children do not need additional snacks as I will bring the daily fruit supply.Please provide change of underwear and possibly shorts as accidents may happen and we have a depleted stock in school. Also a plastic bag to put change of underwear in. With water bottles, I try and part freeze them or add ice to the water- (not juice) as there is nothing worse than luke warm water. This is part of the reason we use cups in school, cool fresh water is so much nicer. I will provide hand sanitiser for every adult to carry as well as the first aid box. I will be carrying the inhaler bag. I will blog again if I think of anything else but it should be lots of fun.

There is PE tomorrow and swimming will happen as usual on Tuesday and Thursday and back to PE on the Friday.
